The Influencer Management Specialist is responsible for leading the end-to-end operations of an influencer marketing campaign. Part strategist and part project manager, they will source new influencers, manage all outreach and communications, and analyze data to report on the success of campaigns. They will also work closely with the Social Growth team to build long-term influencer strategies for brands, and properly integrate influencers into owned social campaigns.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of brand-influencer strategies at Barbarian, for both individual campaigns and always-on social calendars.
  • Source potential influencers and content creators from a range of categories, keeping in mind each brand’s objectives, target audience, and social look-and-feel.
  • Manage all influencer communications, via both email and native social platforms. This includes initial outreach, negotiation of assets and compensation, and final delivery of assets and performance data.
  • Produce and/or organize all campaign documents, including contracts, release forms, and creative briefs.
  • Collaborate with influencers to compile all relevant campaign data, along with overarching learnings and insights
  • Partner with a Creative team to develop a specific campaign or content briefs Partner with the creative team to brief creators
  • Partner with the Social Growth team to integrate your influencer campaigns into each brand’s broader social strategy.
  • Remain up-to-date on the latest industry news, trends, and platform updates.

 

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in social media strategy for a major brand
  • 2+ years of experience managing a roster of influencers or content creators
  • A proven ability to develop influencer campaigns that deliver against specific brand objectives
  • Comfort communicating directly with clients, and negotiating with potential influencers
  • A “team player” mentality, and an eagerness to work closely with other strategists and creatives to execute best-in-class campaigns
  • A deep understanding of internet culture, and the kinds of content and personalities that resonate with various audiences online
  • The ability to analyze brand guidelines and objectives, and translate them into an effective campaign and creative briefs
  • Strong knowledge of both native and third-party social analytics tools, and the ability to turn raw data into a clear and digestible client report
  • A strong commitment to Antiracism and Equitable Representation on Social. You should be committed to going the extra mile to making sure that work speaking to the experiences of these communities is accurate, well-researched, and peer-reviewed.
