IT Director

Barbarian is seeking an IT Director that will oversee the IT department. The role will be a larger
part of the organization and will collaborate with the wider agency on a day-to-day basis to
continue to develop and manage the IT function. They will believe in exceptional customer
service and be a highly skilled IT professional who can handle the growing client roster and its
different sets of security integrations. The IT Director will have a high level of integrity and be
able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
The scope of the role will be inclusive of the following:
* Establish and implement sound technology policy guided by senior management
* Work directly with Finance and Operations to coordinate budgets and approve infrastructure
* Work with other directors to make sure the needs of their departments are being met
* Partner with the People + Culture team to maintain processes associated with commissioning
and decommissioning user accounts in a timely fashion
* Write clear proposals to outline the costs & benefits of major improvements, where
* Strive to increase efficiency in how technology is used company-wide
* Provide the necessary leadership and oversight to the IT team to make sure systems run
smoothly and necessary improvements are made
* Provide system administration and high-level technical support to other technical staff
* Constantly monitor server uptime and connectivity
* Assist in any/all network administration and firewall management duties and fill in as needed
* Assist in any/all server and directory administration duties and fill in as needed
* Assist in troubleshooting end-user hardware/software/network/server problems as necessary
* Ensure that technical documentation is up to date
* Coordinate annual audits to ensure that the infrastructure of TBG is secure and that all data is
safely backed up throughout the company
* Be on call 24/7
• 7-10 years of professional Information Technology experience required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Networking protocols
• Linux/Windows/Mac Servers
• Some coding experiences
• CI tools like Jenkins
• Hardware/Software troubleshooting
• Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Good problem-solving skills.

This position is expected to sit in the NY office and be on site to manage servers and all other
equipment activity.
