Role:

The lead strategic partner for Barbarian will work closely with clients, account, creative, project management and analytics leads to ensure optimal delivery and execution of key deliverables and overall account operation. Owns big-picture thinking whilst driving excellence across channels and campaigns. Passionate social strategist who actively collaborates with clients and team members to advance audience centric social strategies that drive brand and business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Form and grow a trust-based relationship with core clients
  • Develop a strong understanding of our clients, business realities, objectives and opportunities
  • Develop and lead regular social/platform innovation workshops or educational sessions
  • Help brief creative teams to ensure new thinking is being implemented
  • Help ensure channel strategies and brand metrics are being holistically met by team
  • Improve processes and implementation of daily tasks while keeping and eye on long term goals
  • Partner with analytics to track KPIs and capitalize on optimization opportunities
  • Oversee all strategic deliverables
  • Grow and mentor junior and sr strategists
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings
  • Cultivate or maintain relationships with key social platforms and related technology platforms
  • Respond to and/or develop campaign briefs with the strategy team
  • Serve as an escalation point of contact for strategy and relevant account-related concerns
  • Seek to elevate the account’s strategic and creative output

Experience:

  • 8-10 years social/digital experience, with at least 3-4 being on teams operating major brands on social
  • Be able to demonstrate how larger initiatives and thinking have been implemented in social
  • Need a strong understanding of how social plays a role in CX
  • Experience with social commerce on one or more platforms
