Account Executive

Barbarian is looking for a fearless, self-starting, and outgoing Account Executive to join our Account Management team!

Barbarian sits at the intersection of creativity, digital, and technology so being comfortable with new media and the landscape of products & services is a must.

You’ll work closely with the client and internal team to coordinate the strategic development, creative development, tactical and technical execution for projects, campaigns & products.

  • Be the Client’s Partner
    • Be the day-to-day contact and go-to for the clients on your accounts, under the supervision of senior account team members.
    • Act as a liaison between client and Barbarian to coordinate all necessary meetings and reviews, including making sure meeting goals are communicated in advance, all meeting documents are finalized and distributed for each presentation, and key takeaways are captured after each meeting.
    • Proactively identify client needs to always stay one step ahead.
    • Proactively provide weekly competitive, trend, category and channel updates with strategic POVs.
    • Maintain organized status documents and notes.
    • Offer a consistently positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude in order to build solid relationships with clients.
  • Manage and Participate in the Creative Process
    • Have an understanding of client objectives and business strategy and how to evaluate creative work against them. Partner with strategy to use KPIs to measure and track success.
    • Effectively communicate with internal teams to ensure that clear actions are defined and client deliverables are met.
    • Understand the roles of each capability and how they work collaboratively within Barbarian and the account team.
    • Manage projects including website builds, integrated campaigns and social content creation from concept to execution.
    • Always know the status of any project, at any time.
  • Keeping the Account Profitable
    • Participate in the estimating and overall budget management.
    • Partner with project managers and the finance team to track budgets and expenses for all projects.
    • Oversee the client billing process.
    • Provide any required administrative support for the account to ensure projects are running as efficiently and effectively as possible.


  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Agency or Client-side experience is ideal.
  • Passionate and interested in emerging media and innovation
  • Resourceful, thoughtful, ambitious, humble, and business-minded
  • A confident communicator
  • Interested in being a part of best-in-class creative work, and understand the value of it in a world saturated with sub-par communications.
  • Always asking questions, always pushing to do better, and never afraid to admit what you don’t know.


The Account Executive will report to the Account Director.
