01: OVERVIEW

Barbarian is seeking a Recruiter that will oversee the day-to-day recruiting activities. The role will be a part of the people and culture team and will collaborate with them on a day-to-day basis to develop the talent function. They will believe in exceptional customer service and be a highly skilled interviewer who balances what is right for the organization while matching the needs of the candidates. The Recruiter will have a high level of integrity and be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

 

02: ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

The scope of the role will be inclusive of the following:

  • Manage the day to day recruiting process for all departments
  • Partner with Senior Manager, People + Culture to take steps to diversify the recruitment pool
  • Posting positions to websites and other appropriate mediums to generate resumes
  • Partner with Senior Manager, People + Culture and department leads to keep up to date job descriptions 
  • Reviewing and processing resumes
  • Phone interviewing candidates and working closely with administrative staff in scheduling interviews with hiring managers 
  • Scheduling interviews for hiring managers and interview teams 
  • Holding weekly meetings with department leads and resourcing to understand the ongoing needs of the department 
  • Ability to recommend best practices within the recruiting division and recommend platforms to streamline the process (AMS) and include inclusive hiring
  • Develop ongoing relationships with recruiting vendors focused on breaking bias
  • Deliver data-driven reporting on competitive ways to recruit candidates

 

03: EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of professional recruiting experience required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly, tactful, good negotiator, ability to influence others.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter 
  • Demonstrated initiative. 
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good conflict/resolution skills. 
  • Diversity awareness. 
  • Excellent attention to detail/accuracy. 
  • Proven ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a sense of humor
  • Agency exp. preferred

Recruiter, People + Culture will report directly to Senior Manager, People + Culture
