Senior Creative Team

Barbarian is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Team, ready for an incredible opportunity to flex their creative chops working across a number of beauty brands and new business.

What You Do..

  • Provide “big picture” thinking, with strong, strategic, integrated ideas that solve problems for brands
  • Pitch creative concepts to internal teams and clients and clearly communicate vision from a historical, business, and competitive standpoint
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across agency disciplines to ensure concept/design/copy are communicating the desired message
  • Get up in front of a room full of clients to present creative work and defend the quality of associated creative output
  • Present points of view/vision articulately and persuasively within the agency and with the client
  • Maintain a strong relationship with internal teams and clients alike
  • Participate in and facilitate brainstorming sessions
  • Develop and refine concepts across platforms and mediums
  • Mentor younger creatives to help elevate their work and shape their careers
  • Use conceptual thinking skills to develop strategically brand-focused ideas week-to-week, and execute on the fly
  • Demonstrate creative versatility and the ability to adapt voice, tone, and style—jumping from one brand’s content strategy and style guidelines to the next quickly
  • Thoroughly understand our brands and their competition—and keep up with trends in the category

What You Need...

  • 5+ years of ad agency experience
  • 2+ years of experience in beauty and fashion category
  • A kick-ass conceptual portfolio of award-winning work that demonstrates strong conceptual skills, innovation in engaging consumers across multiple channels, with especially strong digital acumen
  • Superior writing skills and excellent communication skills
  • High energy level, and willingness to do whatever it takes
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative, work efficiently and be flexible when quick-turnaround projects come up
  • Strong presentation skills: the ability to articulate, present, and sell ideas
  • Strong time management, organization, and self-management skills
  • Attention to detail and an acute awareness of the little things
  • A good sense of humor 

Senior Copywriter:

    • Ability to write solid, intelligent, brand-appropriate, creative pieces in a variety of communication forms for a variety of audiences

Senior Art Director:

    • Ability to help foster great creative thinking, but also have solid design chops
    • Proficient in Mac OSX, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Keynote. Bonus points for skills in motion/web/UI/UX applications
    • Have a broad knowledge of visual culture, including illustration, motion, photography, film making, typography and the ability to select and brief appropriate creative partners
