Group Strategy Directors at Barbarian are hands-on, client and pitch running partners to the executive team and leaders in the department and beyond. You have a refined approach when it comes to leading teams and tackling new and unusual projects, excellent skills at communicating and building momentum all around you and have the overall ability to provide direction in a project no matter the weather or the challenges afoot.

You will work collaboratively across disciplines to shape and inspire innovative work for clients and ourselves. You will partner with leadership on new business opportunities and lead all communication strategies for our portfolio of clients, as well as helping lead projects that range from experience design to digital products from a management perspective at a minimum. 

You have four major responsibilities: win and execute great work, make our clients famous and trusting, grow and cultivate exceptional strategists, and of course, keep pushing your own skillset. 

This is a hands-on role. If you love moving from running a pitch to building great strategies and client relationships with the team, this is a great place to change hats on a daily to weekly basis from manager to support to agency leader.

  • Help build and refine better processes for our strategists to follow/learn from
  • Demonstrate excellence when it comes to insights and sound strategic thinking

  • Help instill a positive and winning attitude everywhere you go
  • Help grow and develop the department in partnership with the CSO

  • 10+years with a mix of digital/traditional thinking and hopefully more
