B2B Social Media Manager - Freelance

We are looking for an eager, passionate and strategic thinker to join Barbarian as a freelance B2B Social Media Manager.

 

The B2B Social Media Manager will play an important role as a social media specialist and community advocate on an integrated marketing team that is evolving the social presence of our clients. This person will be responsible for both planning and engaging with content, and also finding strategies to maximize that content.

 

We need someone who can step in, take responsibility, and very quickly understand the brand you work on and begin strategically contributing.

 

As a B2B Social Media Manager, you will...

  • Monitor daily posting, engagement and responses to follower comments in a timely manner; actively chat through the brand’s voice with followers in conversational ways.
  • Manage all social content through cycle - from brief to scheduling to publishing to optimization. 
  • Help define and articulate our client’s unique voice in social media as we establish their brand identity.
  • Create, concept, and lead social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns in partnership with the cross-functional team.
  • Articulate and shape the client’s B2B narrative across various social channels in tandem with the lead digital strategist on the account.
  • Keep a pulse on all cultural and industry trends that lend themselves to creating opportunities, and pursue social media amplification opportunities to leverage them.
  • Spearhead performance reporting to provide context and insight to performance reports against pre-defined KPIs. 
  • Work with internal team on shaping and responding to integrated campaign briefs, ensuring social communications are aligned to brand, audience and platform to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
  • Work directly with clients on their needs, approval processes, and have a direct line with clients
  • Advocate to client and internal teams to enhance media optimization and social strategy adoption.
  • Create weekly newsletter focused on trends around industrial service topics using Mailchimp. 

 

What we're looking for...

    • Four or more years of relevant work experience in social media and B2B marketing
    • Ability to work on-site in our NYC office
    • Advanced social media platform and tool knowledge (LinkedIn is necessary) 
    • Advanced knowledge of the social media ecosystem and how insights, paid, earned and owned social media inform, involve and amplify one another
    • A strong track record of success executing campaigns while monitoring and delivering on KPIs
    • Experience developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies 
    • Ability to do both strategic marketing and daily execution and optimization
    • Advanced knowledge of how social media fits within a larger marketing strategy
    • Ability to collaborate with a senior strategist on channel, social strategy, and brand TOV
    • Willingness to experiment in social media on behalf of our clients
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and learn quickly
    • Has experience being client-facing and possesses excellent presentation skills
    • Self starter; takes initiative; and ability to work independently and as part of a team
